On Comprehension Crisis, Contribution Chains and Credential Care

Hey Reader, β I hurt my own feelings this week. π I went back to my Instacart receipt from April 2024. A dozen eggs cost me $3.99 back then. And this last order we placed? They cost $11.99. WHAT IN THE INFLATION?! β Listen, I know prices go up, but TRIPLING in just a few months?? This is robbery happening in broad daylight! I'm out here trying to make an omelet and suddenly eggs are luxury items. The way these grocery stores are acting like we're shopping at Neiman Marcus for BASIC NECESSITIES has me heated. π
β
And it's not just eggs. Everything in that order cost more than it did before. I'm starting to think I need to convert my backyard into a chicken coop and vegetable garden. Iβm not out here for real tryna be Farmer Luvvie to live. What in the expensive?? πΈ β But enough about food prices that got me wanting to start my own farm. Let's jump into what's on my mind this week... ππΎ

Reading comprehension is SUFFERING and I'm concerned! β βY'all. READING COMPREHENSION really be beating people's ass every single day on this internet and beyond and it makes me mad cuz why?? π€ β I'm constantly amazed at how folks will see a post, article, or email, skim the first two sentences, and then proceed to react to something that was NEVER SAID. I'm talking full-on outrage, lengthy comments, and heated debates about things that aren't even in the text! π€¦πΎββοΈ
β
It's like we've collectively decided that understanding what we read is optional. The children were for real left behind! You'll see someone post "The sky is blue" and somehow people in the comments are fighting about whether giraffes make good pets. The disconnect is WILD. β And this isn't just social media foolishness. This is happening in workplaces, relationships, and important conversations about serious topics. People are making entire decisions and forming whole opinions based on what they THINK someone said rather than what was actually written. π«£ β I find myself wanting to ask "Did we read the same thing??" because clearly we didn't! The way folks will confidently misinterpret the simplest statements has me wondering if we're living in parallel universes. β βBefore you react to anything, read it TWICE. Maybe three times if it's longer than a paragraph. Ask yourself "Is this what they actually said or what I think they meant?" Because the gap between those two things is getting wider by the day.
β
This selective reading is how misinformation spreads. Folks will see a headline, not read the article, and then share it like it's gospel. Now everybody's confused and nobody knows what's true anymore. β And speaking of things that need our attention and intention...
REFLECTION
Your assignment has a ripple effect you can't see. β βI posted on Instagram earlier this week about assignments and purpose, and the responses hit me deep. So many of you resonated with this truth: Somebody somewhere is unable to move forward on their assignment because you haven't moved forward on yours. So letβs go deeper on this. π€π
The universe operates on a ripple effect. Your action or inaction doesn't exist in isolation. That book you haven't written? It's not just words on a page waiting to be published. It's transformation, healing, and breakthrough for someone else suspended in time because you haven't released it into the world. β We talk about purpose like it's this beautiful, personal journey of self-discovery. And it is. But it's also a responsibility. Your purpose isn't just about you. It's about who you're meant to serve through it. π β βWhen we delay our assignments, we create spiritual traffic jams. Imagine someone driving behind you on a one-lane road, and you've just decided to stop. Not because there's an obstacle, but because you're afraid of what might be ahead. You're creating congestion in a divine plan that extends beyond yourself. β βPurpose always has a domino effect. Your courage creates space for someone else's courage. Your voice validates someone else's experience. Your journey illuminates someone else's path. π‘ π β But we get caught in these cycles of waiting, don't we? Waiting for confidence that only comes through action. Waiting for clarity that only emerges through movement. Waiting for certainty in a world that offers none. β βReader, what if the very thing you're holding back is the key someone else has been praying for? β Living in purpose demands that we recognize our place in a bigger story. That we understand the gravity of delay and the power of action β Think about it this way: What moves have you not made because someone else didn't make theirs? What opportunities never manifested because someone didn't show up with their gift? Now flip that. What opportunities might never manifest for others because you're sitting on yours?
β
This isn't about pressure or guilt. It's about awakening to the sacred interconnectedness of our purposes. It's about recognizing that your assignment matters beyond what you can see or measure.
So I'm challenging you today to step fully into your assignment. Not tomorrow. Not when you feel ready. Now. Because now is all we have. And someone, somewhere, is waiting for you to move so they can too. πͺπΎ
While we're talking about moving forward and protecting what matters...
RECOMMENDATION
Get your digital life secured with Keeper. β βIn these raggedy times, and all these wayward 19-year-old white boys running around DC in Chief Cybertruck's wake, getting into computer systems left and right, digital security is on my mind more than ever. β Basic passwords don't cut it anymore. "Password123" might as well be a welcome mat for hackers. But who can remember 50 different complex passwords with special characters and numbers? π β This is why I've usedKeeper Security Password Managerfor years and it has been a GAME CHANGER cuz now I can actually have strong passwords, and I DO NOT have to remember them myself.
β
Keeper not only generates those complicated passwords that look like someone fell asleep on the keyboard, but it remembers them for you. It syncs across all your devices so whether you're on your phone, laptop, or tablet, your passwords are right there when you need them. No more texting yourself passwords or keeping that sketchy note in your phone with all your login info! β What I really love is that it's platform agnostic, meaning it doesn't matter if you're Team Apple, Team Android, or some mix of both. Keeper works everywhere. And with all these systems requiring you to change your password every few months (which, let's be honest, is annoying but necessary), Keeper makes that process painless.
β
So legit, you gotta secure your stuff now. The leaks are real. β If your password security is still stuck in 2010, it's time for an upgrade. Consider this your sign to get serious about protecting your digital life. Because getting hacked or locked out of your accounts is not the kind of excitement any of us need right now.
Aight, soooooβ¦ what assignment has been nudging at your spirit that you need to finally take action on? And who might be waiting for you to make that move so they can make theirs? Hit reply and let me know! π β In service and shenanigans,
