Hey Reader!
I know what it's like to have a book sitting on your spirit, and feeling lost in all of it. I know EXACTLY how frustrating it is š©. You might not know where to start, or youāre stuck, or you donāt know how this can even happen for you.
Thatās a tough place to be, and I totally understand how you feel. That was me 9 years ago before I wrote my first book.
Hereās the truth - you have a valuable story to tell, and you have experience that will help someone else on their journey. You are holding the map that someone else needs to get to where they need to go.
Books are the map. Books are the things that last. Theyāre a historic marker that doesnāt go anywhere. And so many more of us, who aren't white and male, need to be publishing our stories, expertise, joy, struggles, lessons. We need that book you havenāt written yet.
Iāve written 4 books in the last 7 years, and all 4 have hit the bestselling lists, and most dope of all, theyāve changed my life by how theyāve changed the lives of others. And now, I am feeling convicted to help others enable their purpose through the writing of amazing books! So Iām working on something special: a book publishing course that is coming ā° VERY SOON ā°. Iām gonna help you learn about what it takes to go from ideas to holding your book in your hand, in an industry that is purposefully shrouded in mystery. I gotchu!
Thereās more to come, but until then, Iād love to know more about what has been keeping you from writing. Here are some of the things I usually hear from folks who want to write a book:
Do any of these sound familiar? What is it for you? Hit reply and let me know - š¤ What is the biggest challenge you are facing right now when it comes to getting your book out in the world?
Iāll be watching for your reply, and look for me in a couple of days with a really helpful exercise to get you set up to write the book youāre meant to write.
More to come soon!
